Update on the GTS for 2016.
We are just two and a half month away from the season opening at NJMP.
After intensive work on the updates in GTS Rules for the 2016 in the off season and few revisions, we finally settled with the current version. As always, anytime the changes to the Rules are introduced the opinions vary and often polarized. The committee of Regional Series Leaders made a decision to adopt the changes, to address issues sometimes more prevalent in certain Regions vs. others and to assist development of the series in the future.
For 2016 in addition to the Average Horsepower values, the Peak Torque (X 0.9) will be taken in consideration in determining Minimum Weight. Also, there are limits of Engines Displacement introduced for each class. Other changes to mention – minus 0.4 factor for FWD cars and elimination of the Dyno forgiveness factor at the impound.
We also change some wording on the registration and documentation requirements, so every GTS racer should visit the GTS website at www.nasagts.com, to make sure the compliance is in order prior to the first event in April.
New online calculator and new Dyno Declaration Form must be used in upcoming season!
We’ve been conducting a survey through the GTS website, so if you still didn’t fill yours in, please do so.
The new website will allow us to have the Dyno upload page, which will be optional in 2016, but will become mandatory for the 2017.
See you at the track!

New track to open in Palmer MA in 2015
Palmer MA in 2015
Another new track will be open in the region in 2015. The developer took on the challenge of cutting in a race track in a piece of land that has some real elevation changes. We have a video that shows the track at slow speed before any safety barriers of catch fencing have been installed. We expect to have a date(s) there in 2015 check our schedule.
